I know my brother has this web address. So I know he will be checking to make sure I reveal how his front tooth got broken. We lived in Galveston, TX at that time. I was sixth grade and I think he was third grade. As brothers and sisters relate to each other, we fought just as well as any. Apparently we were not getting along, and I got mad and called him "a big fat creamer". No idea what I meant or what it means...... but it certainly would make my brother mad.... He threw an oyster shell at me and in turn I threw one back......I guess he opened his mouth at the wrong time. Hence one broken front tooth...and he still has it..... sorry, did I pick on you???? I do remember running to our neighbor , the army dentists wife. I felt she could smooth things over.

This is my little great niece, she's about 15 months old. I would almost swear that she is really reading the sale sheet for her Christmas gift. How cute is that??

I just have to tell you this little story about my 3 year old granddaughter. I call her "rosebud". Her parents usually call her Ra Ra. She is the cutest thing I ever saw. She is very tall for her age and speaks so clearly. What I get tickled is that her comprehension is so well developed. As I will show you she understands just how to use words. A few days ago she and her mother were on their way home from shopping and Ra Ra started saying "Mom" wanting to talk to her mother.
But her mother was on the cell phone and kept saying "just a minute". Ra Ra kept getting louder and louder. MOM, MOM. Finally her mom hung up and asked what Ra Ra wanted. She answered loudly, "Mom, you just PI**ed me off." Her mom said she stopped her car in a hurry to "fix" the problem........ but Ra Ra was so upset she didn't talk to her mom for about 30 min......... and we have no idea where that all came from, except she does go to pre school day care..........She is really a sweet little girl, and that makes it more humorous to me. But then I am a

I decided on the name "please don't eat the daisies" because this became one of my husbands favorite remarks to me..... Meaning "PLEASE don't do any damage while I'm at work". He would announce to anyone within ear shot that he never knew what I would do or destroy when he wasn't home.
I never figured out why he loved saying that to me... maybe because I was struck by lightening? or because I flooded the kitchen? or because I totaled my bronco when I wasn't driving? Well, I learned to love the saying, I knew it was said with love!!!!! at least that is what I always told myself. He used to broadcast to our friends and neighbors that when he retired he planned on writing a book about my "adventures"........

The abstract side of my brain was much stronger than the concrete side. I was the child with ADD before it was discovered. My imagination would steam ahead of my reasoning. I grew up in southern California where ice skating was a dream or something to see at the movies. I was about 8 or 9 and I REALLY wanted to ice skate. We lived with my grandparents at the time while my dad was overseas in the Navy. We had a concrete front porch about 12 X 14 and it was a great place to play. I decided we could ice skate on the porch. So I requested my neighborhood friends to bring all the crisco or shortening they could sneak out of their houses to my front porch. We smeared all we had on the concrete and it made a terrific skating rink......... Until my grandfather came home....... WOW did I get into trouble that time. But we really had fun while it lasted.. p.s my grandmother saved my butt that day!!!!

When I was born my mother was going to name me Hazel Ruth. YUCK what a name. So her sisters (5 of them) all older than my mother threw a fit and they all wrote their choice and put the papers in a bowl... thus, my name Beverly was drawn. Thank God for little favors. I have loved my Aunt Kathryn forever........ My mother and her twin were the youngest of many many kids..... including 4 sets of twins.... and that was before fertility drugs. How amazing is that!!!! But another little favor I received is my kids were all singles..... hurray!!!!
